2. Educators act ethically and maintain the integrity, credibility and reputation of the profession.

Throughout this past year in the Bachelor of Education program, I have seen the importance of maintaining professional standards both in and out of the classroom. The relationships built with teachers, professors, and student’s families, are vital to an enjoyable teaching career and maintaining professionalism is the best way to sustain these relationships.

While I do not have enough experience to state this myself, I have heard and believe that teaching can be a very isolating field. It is easy to get caught up in your own lesson planning and stresses and forget about the numerous people surrounding you that want to help. In order to have the support needed to teach for many years to come, I strive to show all communities I enter my integrity, credibility, and care for the profession of teaching.
